Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service by reference. It applies to every use of the Service.

No protected health information

Coachstra is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA, is not a HIPAA business associate, and does not offer a signed business associate agreement (BAA). You may not use the Service to store, process, or transmit protected health information (PHI) or to deliver clinical healthcare services. If you are a licensed healthcare provider (including a therapist or psychologist who also offers coaching), you are responsible for ensuring you do not put PHI into the Service. This restriction is about clinical health records specifically — a client mentioning stress, sleep, or general wellbeing in a coaching conversation is expected and does not violate this policy.

No illegal recording

You must obtain all consents required by applicable law before recording a session, and must use the Service's built-in consent gates rather than attempting to bypass or disable them. You are responsible for complying with the recording-consent laws of every jurisdiction in which you or your clients are located, which in many places requires the consent of every participant, not just your own.

No circumventing consent gates or security controls

You may not attempt to disable, bypass, or interfere with the Service's consent gates (recording, transcription, AI-analysis, or ICF hour-logging consent), access controls, or rate limits, or attempt to access another coach's data.

No scraping, reverse engineering, or misuse

You may not scrape the Service, reverse engineer it, use it to build a competing product, or use automated means to access it outside documented APIs.

Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately upon a material breach of this policy, particularly one that creates legal, security, or regulatory risk for Coachstra or other users, consistent with Section 9 of our Terms of Service.

This document is a draft pending review by a Belgian lawyer. It is not yet in effect and must not be relied upon as binding until that review is complete — see Issue #35.
